Evli receives excellent scores in PRI's responsible investment assessment

Evli has once again received excellent scores in the reporting of PRI, the UN's umbrella organisation for responsible investment. In the assessment, Evli received a full five stars for both its policies and ESG integration of direct listed equities, corporate bonds, and private equity.

Evli signed the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) already in 2010. PRI signatory members report extensively and comprehensively on their responsible investment practices, which enables the PRI to assess the company's progress in responsible investment and the development needs in different areas of its investment activities.

"Responsibility has been integrated into all of our investment activities for a long time, and we at Evli are pleased to see that the results of our systematic work are also reflected in the evaluation we have received in the new, updated PRI report. The PRI has improved the reporting and hopes that it will further support the development of responsible investment. We will be reviewing the results extensively so that we can continue to develop our practices across the asset classes", commented Petra Hakamo, Evli's Head of Sustainability.

In 2021, PRI reporting was carried out using the revised pilot Reporting Framework, which differed significantly from the previous reporting. The scoring method for 2021 has changed from letter grades to star scores, which means the scores from previous years are also not comparable. In addition, the revised and expanded Reporting Framework introduces new focus areas for responsible investment and some entirely new modules.

"In the new Reporting Framework, we see the new module of the report on Sustainability Outcomes as an important development. This will support PRI signatories in setting their own targets and at the same time create best practices for the market", says Hakamo.
