Accessibility statements for Evli’s digital services

On this page you can find general information about Evli’s accessibility in digital services, including the accessibility standards, accessibility statements and information regarding how to give feedback on accessibility.

Evli strives to continuously improve the client experience and comply with appropriate accessibility standards in all our digital services. Evli’s goal is that all our services are available equally, regardless of the device, special needs or situation of our clients.

Evli listens to client feedback and uses several accessibility management methods to ensure the accessibility of our digital services. The latest audits of Evli’s digital services by external specialists were performed in the latter half of 2020. We are continuously working on improving the accessibility of the issues discovered in the audit.

Accessibility standards

Evli aims to comply with the technical standards relevant to the current Finnish legislation (in Finnish), which includes:

  • Standard EN 301 549 specifically for mobile applications, and generally for web services
  • Recommendation WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), Level AA specifically for web services.

The current Evli Android application has no dedicated statement here due to expected discontinuation of the application during the first half of 2021. At that time it will be replaced by the My Evli mobile application.

Sighted users may have trouble reading the text due to insufficient contrast between text and its background.

Some PDF downloads (for instance interim financial reports and fund specific documentation and fund ESG reports) are not fully accessible. We are currently working on making all PDFs published since 23.9.2018 accessible during 2021. This statement will be updated as PDF issues are being resolved or found unreasonable to resolve.

Fund specific pages are being renewed

We are working on updates for our Fund specific pages  in 2021. Changes include improvements for making funds related details better accessible and information on the page more clear. At the same time the fund specific documentation will also be updated taking into account accessibility issues.

There are some issues that currently reduce the accessibility of the Evli Digital asset management service. These include:

  • Keyboard navigation.
    Some parts of the website cannot be accessed with a keyboard.

  • Screen reader use.
    Screen reader users can’t access all parts of the service and lack navigational cues to help them navigate the service.

The website includes PDF files that have been published before September 23, 2018 which may not be accessible.

Unreasonable Burden

Evli website includes industry standard infographics and data visualizations which do not have an equivalent text-based alternative as appropriate alternative format does not exist. However, clients who are not able to perceive these graphics can review similar data in a table format or contact our Investor Service (Tel. +358 9 4766 9701; Mon-Fri 9.30 am. - 4.30 pm) to get help with data interpretation.

Contemporary My Evli

Our current My Evli online service was audited for accessibility in late 2020. We are currently working on correcting the discovered accessibility issues that relate to the following themes:  

  1. The Android application’s keyboard navigation
    Some parts of the application cannot be navigated with a keyboard.
  2. Support for screen readers
    Screen reader users face navigation problems similar to keyboard users, but additionally may miss out information that is only presented visually.

The older version of My Evli is not fully accessible. Functionalities on previous generation are being discontinued during 2021 and will be re-created in accessible format in the current My Evli.
