Evli is one of the sponsors of the Finnish Team Rynkeby – God Morgon cycling team. Team Rynkeby – God Morgon Finland is part of a European charity cycling team that participates with teams from different countries by cycling to Paris every year to raise money for seriously ill children.
The funds raised will go to the Aamu Pediatric Cancer Foundation and the Sylva association, which do important work to advance children's cancer research and support children and young people with cancer and their families. A large part of the funds raised will come from donations from companies who also become sponsors of the project.
"For Evli, learning and the strive to become better are core values. By working together with Team Rynkeby, we want to contribute to a better future for children and support research that aims to achieve this. The Team Rynkeby campaign raises funds to improve cancer research for children and young people, while supporting seriously ill children and their families. Cancer treatments have come a long way in the last 30 years, but more funds are needed to continue vital research and help more children with cancer survive the disease”, says Maunu Lehtimäki, CEO of Evli, on the start of the collaboration.
This year, Team Rynkeby will include 2,026 cyclists and 538 service team members, divided into 64 local teams in nine countries. The project will culminate in July 2023, when the teams will cycle from Finland to France and arrive in Paris at the same time. Evli is supporting Team Rynkeby's teams in Helsinki, Espoo and Turku.
In 2022, Team Rynkeby donated a total of EUR 10.4 million to organisations helping seriously ill children. In all, Team Rynkeby has raised EUR 85.8 million for seriously ill children in its 22 years of operation.
