BlackRock and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers merged in October 2006 to create one of the world’s largest asset management firms BlackRock Merrill Lynch Investment Managers. Firm’s name was changed to BlackRock in April 2008.

BlackRock Global Funds (formerly known as Merrill Lynch International Investment Funds) is a family of international mutual funds registered in Luxembourg. The selection comprises some 60 funds, including a wide variety of equity and fixed income funds. Investors can choose funds on the basis of both sectors and geographical areas.
